# What is the effect of uploading a custom file?

If a custom file has been configured through the API (with the parameter `ext_file_media_id`), a statement stating **“To learn more about the rules for personal information processing, please refer to the supplementary document”** can be found at the end of the privacy protection guidelines page on the ** Mini Program ** side. By clicking on **“Supplementary Document”**, you can download the custom file uploaded by the service provider.
