To regulate how developers handle users' personal information and protect users' legal rights, developers of Mini Programs and plugins that process personal information must provide the appropriate user privacy policies.

1 Mini Program user privacy policy

How to fill out user privacy policies for live versions:

1) Go to Weixin Official Accounts  Platform and log in to the Mini Program console by scanning the code. Navigate to "Account Settings -> Basic Settings -> Service Content Declaration" and click "User Privacy Policy" to fill out the necessary information.

2) Developers can update or improve the privacy policy at any time based on the live version of the Mini Program. It will take effect upon approval.

3) On the user's mobile device, click the capsule button in the top right corner of the Mini Program. Navigate to "Mini Program Entity Information -> More Information" to view the privacy policy, or a pop-up will prompt users to view the privacy policy when using related features.

How to fill out user privacy policies for versions submitted for review:

1) Go to Weixin Official Accounts  Platform and log in to the Mini Program console by scanning the code. Navigate to "Management -> Version Management -> Submit Code for Review" to fill in the required information and submit the code for review.

2) The platform will automatically use the live version's privacy policy as the privacy policy for the development version during the review. If there are differences in privacy API calls or privacy policy content between the development and live versions, or if the privacy policy is empty, the platform will prompt developers to update it during review.

3) Modifications to the privacy policy for the submitted version do not affect the live version. Once the development version is approved and goes live, its privacy policy will be published, replacing the old one.

How to configure user privacy policies for Mini Programs developed on behalf of others:

Developers can only configure user privacy policies for Mini Programs developed on behalf of others via relevant APIs. For more information, see  Configuring Mini Program User Privacy Policies.

2 Non-Chinese Mainland Entities' Mini Program user privacy policies

Besides the standard Mini Program user privacy policy content, the "data storage location" information must also be included in Non-Chinese mainland entities' Mini Program user privacy policies. Without this, the Mini Program will not pass the review process.
