After you link a Mini Program to a Weixin Open Platform account, it can connect with other mobile apps, web apps, and Official Accounts under that account. This allows the use of the UnionID mechanism to unify user accounts across multiple applications and Official Accounts.
UnionID mechanism description:
Mobile apps, web apps, public accounts, and Mini Programs under the same Weixin Open Platform account share the same UnionID. Each user has a unique UnionID for their Weixin Open Platform account. The UnionID can be obtained by calling the "Get User Info" API. For more information, see the development documentation - API - Open API - User Information.
How to link a Mini Program to Weixin Open Platform:
Register or log in to Weixin Open Platform . In "Management Center -> Min Programs", click "Link Mini Program".
