# National Compulsory Mark of conformity

The General Administration of Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China and the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China jointly issued the Regulations on the Administration of Compulsory Product Certification on December 3, 2001. The compulsory certification management of "unified catalogue, unified standards and assessment procedures, unified marks and unified fees" shall be implemented for 132 kinds of products in 19 categories listed in the catalogue.

Currently, the mandatory product certification system has been published, including the Mandatory Product Certification Management Regulations, the Mandatory Products Certification Mark Management Methods, the List of the First Products to Implement Mandatory Product Accreditation, and the Notice on Issues Related to the Implementation of Mandatory Product Credentials.

The first products to be included in the mandatory certification catalogue included wires and cables, switches, low-voltage appliances, electric tools, household appliances; car tires, automotive load tires, audio and video equipment, information equipment, telecommunications terminals, motor vehicles, medical devices, and safety precaution equipment.

So far, a number of products have been released, in addition to the first catalogue, but also added paint, ceramics, automotive products, toys and other products. It should be noted that the 3C mark is not a quality mark, it is a most basic safety certification.
