# Registration Certificate of Geographical Indications of Agricultural Products

The geographical indications of agricultural products refer to the special marks of agricultural products which indicate that the agricultural products come from a specific region, the quality and relevant characteristics mainly depend on the natural ecological environment and the historical and cultural elements, and are named by the geographical names. According to the provisions of the Measures for the Administration of Geographical Indications of Agricultural Products, the Ministry of Agriculture is responsible for the registration of geographical indications of agricultural products nationwide, and the Agricultural Product Quality Safety Center of the Ministry of Agriculture is responsible for the examination and expert review of the registration of geographical indications of agricultural products. The agricultural administrative departments of the provincial people's governments shall be responsible for the acceptance and preliminary examination of applications for registration of geographical indications of agricultural products within their respective administrative regions. The Expert Review Committee for the Registration of Geographical Indications of Agricultural Products established by the Ministry of Agriculture is responsible for expert review.
