# I. Where to apply for Weixin Verification

# II. How to apply for Weixin Verification
# 1. Read and accept the Weixin Official Account Platform Verification Service Agreement (click the check box), and click Next.
# 2. Complete the information: Select the type of the entity to verify and submit the verification materials.
After selecting the type, you will be directed to the page to complete the verification information. The qualification materials to be submitted for each type include but are not limited to:
Enterprise legal person: Organization Code Certificate; Industry and Commerce Business License for Enterprises;
Media: Organization Code Certificate; Industry and Commerce Business License for Enterprises or Certificate of Institution Legal Person; radio and television institutions should upload Radio and Television Broadcasting Agency License or Radio and Television Channel License; newspapers institutions are required to upload the Newspaper Publishing License of the People's Republic of China; journals and magazines need to have a Journal Publishing License of the People's Republic of China; network media need to provide Internet News Information Service License or Information Network Communication Audio-Visual Program License.
Government and institution: Organization Code Certificate.
Other organizations - free (foundation, foreign government offices in China): Organization Code Certificate; relevant registration certificates, approvals or certificates, etc.: foundations should upload the Foundation Legal Person Registration Certificate; local permanent agencies should upload approvals from their local government authorities; foreign agencies in China should upload the approvals or certificates from relevant national authorities.
Social organizations: Organization Code Certificate; Registration Certificate of Social Organizations; the religious groups also needs to provide approvals or certificates from the religious affairs administration.
Private non-enterprise: Organization Code Certificate; Private Non-enterprise Registration Certificate; training and education organizations of non-public institutions need to submit the School License of their ownership. Medical organizations of non-public institutions including beauty center need to submit the Practice License for Medical Institutions of their ownership.
Other organizations: Organization Code Certificate; relevant registration certificate, approval or certificate, etc.
# 3. Complete the invoice information.
Users can choose to issue general invoices (quota invoice) or special VAT invoices. Specifically, for the special VAT invoice, users also need to submit the Tax Registration Certificate (enterprises with the Three-in-One business license can directly upload their new business licenses) and the Proof of Bank Account Ownership. All credentials will be verified by an auditing firm. Upon successful verification, Tencent will issue and post an invoice.
# 4. Pay the verification fee; only WeChat Pay is currently supported.

You can find the contact information of the third-party review company on the page. During the review process, the company may contact you. If you encounter issues during that time, you may call the company's hotline for consultation.
# III. Description of verification results of Official Accounts
After Tencent and its entrusted third-party review organization conduct the review requested by the user, Tencent will notify the review result to the user, which has two likely results, success or failure.
If the account is the Weixin application account of the government, media and other organizations, it must be verified before it can be submitted for release review. Otherwise, it cannot be submitted for release review and will not be released. If the account is the Weixin application account of the enterprise, it can have most of the initial development and management capabilities after the registration is complete. Successful verification is not a prerequisite for the submission for the release review, excluding for the payment feature and other features otherwise specified by Tencent.
# IV. Supported types of verification entities
The following verification entities are supported:
Enterprises (enterprise legal persons, non-enterprise legal persons, representative offices of foreign-funded enterprises in China);
Media (institution media, other media);
Government and institutions;
Other organizations
# V. Qualifications required for verification of different entities
Including but not limited to the following materials:

# VI. What is it for to fill in the enterprise's account opening bank (business account)?
In the process of verification, in order to verify the authenticity of the verification entity (enterprise, media), the third-party review agency will make a small payment to the business account filled in by the applicant, and attach notes to the payment. After receiving the payment, the applicant shall submit the receipt certificate of payment through the supplementary materials page of Weixin Official Accounts Platform verification in time for review (the third-party review agency will guide you through the submission process via telephone).
The payment amount received by the enterprise is only used for review, and does not need to be returned to the third-party review agency or Weixin.
# VII. What are the types of administrator's identity documents?
Resident Identity Card of the People's Republic of China.
For mainland residents without resident identity cards: they can submit the Temporary Resident Identity Cards.
Make sure to provide a picture of the front and back of the above documents.
# VIII. Verification service fee
Except that the government and some organizations (foundations, foreign government offices in China) can apply free of charge, other types of organizations will have to pay a service fee of 300 yuan/review for the application for Weixin Verification. This is a one-time fee paid by the user based on the qualification review service provided by Tencent, and the user needs to pay review service fee once every time he/she applies for a verification service. Whether the verification succeeds or fails, the review service fee will need to be paid.
# IX. How to pay the verification service fee
Payment of review fees is currently supported only with WeChat Pay.
# X. How to view verification status and result
Log in to the Official Accounts Platform, go to "Settings" > "Weixin Verification" > "View" to view the progress. You can also call the customer service hotline of the third-party review company to check the review progress.
# XI. How to issue an invoice
In the step 4 of applying for verification, you can select the invoice type and fill in the invoice mailing address. Note as follows:
Invoice data cannot be modified after submission. Please fill in the correct invoice type and mailing address. If invoice is issued or mailed wrongly resulting from the wrong information in it provided by you, you will not be able to get a re-issued and mailed invoice in the future.
The general invoice is a quota invoice, and the title of the special VAT invoice is the full name of the verification applicant.
The qualification for issuing special VAT invoices needs to be reviewed, and the review results will be sent to the notification center within 7 business days (excluding weekends and legal holidays).
After the completion of the order (including the success and failure of review), Tencent will issue and mail general invoices within 45 days and special VAT invoices within 80 days.
# XII. How long does it take to pass the verification
The pass of verification depends on whether the materials are submitted by users in a complete and timely manner. Tencent will conduct qualification review within 15 business days, and users should actively cooperate with Tencent and the third-party review company for their review demand.
# XIII. What could cause verification to fail?
The enterprise is not legally registered with the Administration for Industry and Commerce.
The operator has not obtained the authorization from the enterprise to apply for and operate the official accounts.
The operator's ID card information is incorrect.
The fill-in of application verification information for three times all fail to conform to the standard.
Verification timeout. If you fail to re-submit the verification information within 30 days (natural day) after the verification information first submitted is returned for a second fill-in, it will be regarded as verification timeout and treated as verification failure.
# XIV. How many Mini Programs can be verified for a single entity?
Fifty Mini Programs can be verified for all entity types except individual businesses, which are limited to five Mini Programs.

# XVI. How can I modify the verification information?
Before the annual review, it is temporarily not allowed to modify the verification information.
# XVII. Annual review
After the user account is reviewed successfully, the account review status will be retained for one year (the starting date is the day when the user account is reviewed successfully). If users want to keep the status of successful account review and retain the application and use rights for advanced functions, they should start and complete the annual review process within one year from the date of successful account review. The annual review process and review standards should be consistent with the previous review. If the user fails to complete the annual review and obtain the successful review result in a timely manner, his/her successful account review status will be terminated and the application and use rights for advanced functions will be canceled.
# XVIII. Is it possible to change the verification entity (verification applicant) during verification?
It's not allowed to change the entity during verification. If the enterprise changes its name, it can provide the corresponding certificate of industrial and commercial procedure change during application for verification, and the review company will verify whether the name change is approved.
Weixin Team
