Service Overview
TenPay Global Checkout enables Weixin Mini Program Merchant to seamlessly integrate with global mainstream payment methods, facilitating convenient payments from consumers worldwide in Mini Program scenarios. Currently, the TenPay Global service is available in Singapore, Macau, China, and Japan. Supported payment methods can be found in Payment Methods. More countries/regions will be added soon, so please stay tuned.

Availability
For Consumers
Consumers who wish to pay via TenPay Global must meet the following criteria:
- WeChat Registration Phone Number: The consumer must be a WeChat user with a phone number registered outside of mainland China. Users with mainland China phone numbers cannot use this feature.
- WeChat Client Version: The WeChat client version must be 8.0.54 or later, with a base library version of 3.6.6 or higher. If the base library version is lower, the checkout page will not display. Developers should check the user’s version and recommend that they use WeChat Pay (via the wx.requestPayment API) or update their WeChat client (via the wx.updateWeChatApp API) before attempting to pay.
For Merchant
Merchant entities wishing to use TenPay Global must meet the following conditions:
- Location of the Merchant Entity: Currently, only Merchant entities registered in Singapore, Macau, China, or Japan can activate TenPay Global. More countries/regions will be added soon. Please stay informed.
Note: If the Merchant ’s certification entity is not from the above regions but has a subsidiary in one of these areas, they can apply for TenPay Global access by contacting the TenPay Global Checkout team at tenpayglobal_cko@tencent.com or the Mini Program team at miniprogram_global@tencent.com.

These are the minimum requirements for using this service. After applying, TenPay Global will review the provided information and business details. Approval is subject to the review results. Merchant entities that do not meet the requirements of Mini Program and TenPay Global will not be granted this service.
FAQ
Q: Does integrating TenPay Global require changing the existing WeChat Pay connection?
A: TenPay Global provides access to overseas payment methods for Weixin Mini Program Merchant, enabling local consumers in various countries to pay in Weixin Mini Program scenarios. TenPay Global and WeChat Pay operate independently with separate account setup processes and funding channels. Therefore, Merchant entities that have already integrated with WeChat Pay can continue using their existing funding channel but must complete KYC procedures with TenPay Global and handle settlements separately.
For API calls, you can still use the WeChat Pay API to process payments through WeChat Pay, while using the TenPay Global API will aggregate WeChat Pay and other overseas payment methods on the client side (for base libraries 3.6.6 and above). For more details, see: User Payment Experience.
Q: Which regions will TenPay Global expand to in the future?
